Edmonton Oilers

A Christmas wish list for the Edmonton Oilers

In a rink adorned with lights so bright, Connor Brown dreams on this Christmas night. His skates cut through the ice with grace, a wish for goals to find their place.

With the second line struggles glaring, Ken Holland finds a perfect pairing. A winger for Draisaitl dare to dream? Anthony Duclair, he fits the scheme.

Off to Foegele who can really dish, has one simple Christmas wish. The desire is to be more consistent, we’ll see in the New Year if that’ll be distant.

Sam Gagner, a veteran indeed, an extension in sight we shall see. He loves Edmonton along with his wife, his Christmas wish is to be an Oiler for life.

A hardworking local on the fourth line, James Hamblin he’s quite fine. With a two-year extension in sight, you know his future is bright.

Through the battles and the hockey strife, Holloway dreams of a vibrant life. To be free from injuries, the Christmas wish rife, a season of wellness, a hopeful fife.

Hyman’s strong play, would of been useful last May. This season he shouldn’t have shame, his Christmas wish is to be at the All Star game.

Janmark’s up next, he likes to check. The wish to be more clutch, he wants a finishing touch.

A guy who loves to hit, Kane loves his grit. Maybe bulkier shoulder pads, for the new dad.

McDavid’s dream consists of one thing, is that lovely Stanley Cup ring. With the Oilers in a deep hole, do you think he reaches his goal?

Young McLeod is good in his own zone, but his offensive game make others groan. The wish to contribute offensively is on the list, but some of his haters will still be pissed.

Off to the one they call DR, a solid player but not a star. He’s a guy that needs more praise, Stauffer loves his Golden Bear days.

The one they call the “Nuge”, he’s always been huge. The longest serving Oiler already got his, however—to be an Edmonton Oiler forever.

Bouchard clapping bombs as he has all year, coming to the goaltender who’s struck with fear, an invitation to the All Star game, that wouldn’t be a shame.

Skinner’s season has been subpar, though last year he was an All Star. A wish for Mackenzie or an Elvis would do, a goalie tandem for the one they call Stu.

Ekholm and Kulak are calm, cool and collected, if they were hurt the Oilers would be dejected, the wish is simple to continue their strong play, if they don’t the Oilers are in dismay.

Vinny and Cody come to mind, on the PK they really know how to grind. Their wish is to cut out the silly errors, it gave Edmonton last postseason some terrors.

Darnell may be overpaid, and some boast about a trade. The wish on his list is some fan love, since Coffey came in, he’s fit like a glove.

Knoblauch’s came in and done good deeds, after the Woodcroft firing the fans screamed. To continue his success he wishes for a good team, can Ken Holland fulfill that dream?
