It is always a big deal when a player hits an even hundred in any offensive category or games played. Some of these, like passing 500 or 1000 in any stat, are cause for major celebration.
Last season, we got to see some of our favourite Edmonton Oilers pass a few huge milestones. The biggest, of course, was Connor McDavid recording his 1000th career NHL point in a game against the Nashville Predators on November 14.
Do we have any impending milestones of this significance that we will need to start planning the celebrations for? Let’s review what milestones Edmonton Oilers players could hit in 2025–26.
Edmonton Oilers approaching games played milestones
Let’s start with the easiest stat to accumulate, games played. For a healthy player, almost every other season will land them on another multiple of 100, meaning this is a milestone to celebrate frequently. These current Oilers could be celebrating a games played milestone this season.
Is there any better goal celebration than seeing the light go on and having the spotlight shine on a player as their teammates gather around to celebrate hitting a goal milestone? It is the most impactful milestone to hit for that reason. Here are some Oilers looking to reach new heights in goal scoring this season.
