Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap 80: Oilers steamroll Sharks as McDavid hits 150 points

Looking for their seventh victory in a row, the Edmonton Oilers faced the San Jose Sharks last night. Stuart Skinner started in goal for the Oilers, and Connor McDavid entered the game 148 points, within striking distance of the 150 mark.

This contest wasn’t close at any point. The Oilers are not only one of the best teams in the league, but are the hottest team right now, and they made quick work of the lowly Sharks. All in all, the Oilers got goals from five different players, Skinner made 22 saves, and McDavid put up a three pointer to hit and surpass the 150 point mark this season.

It’s the first time any player has hit 150 points since Mario Lemieux all the way back in 1995-96, and McDavid joins an exclusive list as just the sixth player to hit that mark. What an unbelievable season for the captain.

The Oilers are now just two points out of first place in the Pacific Division with two games left for both them and the Vegas Golden Knights.

Charts from the victory are below.
