Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap 81: Edmonton loses in Arizona’s last game as a franchise

The Edmonton Oilers had the unfortunate pleasure of playing against the Arizona Coyotes in the latter’s final game of the season, or more aptly put: the final game as a franchise. The game was more emotional and meant a lot more to the home team than it did to the Oilers, and the final buzzer came out giving the Coyotes one last win to close out their history.

The Oilers meanwhile, not worrying about their playoff fate, probably didn’t mind losing this one as much just given the circumstances. They have one final game against the Colorado Avalanche as the second half of a back-to-back to finish up their regular season, which will be a much better test as both teams will be tuning up for the playoffs.
