Leon Draisaitl records his 100th point of the 2023–24 season

In Friday’s game versus the Colorado Avalanche, Edmonton Oilers centre Leon Draisaitl recorded his 100th point of the 2023–24 season on an assist on Connor McDavid‘s goal.

This marks the fifth time that Draisaitl has reached 100 points in a single season, and the third year in a row he has done it. He accomplished the feat with 39 goals and 61 assists this time around.

Pure dominance from Draisaitl

Although he will likely fall well shy of his career-best performance last season—in which he ended with 128 points—Draisaitl is proving year in and year out that he is one of the best players in the league in his own right with his consistent 100+ point pace.

And, he could have done it ever so slightly sooner this season, if not for an unfortunately timed stick break last weekend.

Sassy stick toss aside, congrats to Leon Draisaitl for yet another magnificent season! Now to hope he is ready to continue his dominance as one of the best playoff performers of all time.
