All situations Corsi

- This game was interesting. Both teams had less than 60 total shot attempts and both teams had more than 35 shots. Not many shots missed the net or blocked.
- Both teams had a relatively slow start to open the game, but the Oilers picked things up with a flurry of shots for the game-opening goal.
- Edmonton’s third period also opened strong and their fourth of the game effectively put a damper on any chance of a Flyers comeback.

- Three goals from right in front of the crease for Edmonton.
- Interestingly, the Flyers had a pretty good shot chart themselves as many shots were also high-danger.
5v5 Corsi

- The game was more tilted in Edmonton’s favour at 5v5 by a large margin.
- The Flyers didn’t have much sustained offence at 5v5 other than to open the second period.

- Both teams had a good mix of high-danger shots but the difference in shot attempts coming at all situations saw the Flyers get fewer of them, whereas Edmonton’s spread looked similar regardless of the number of players on the ice.

Has anyone thought about compiling statistics on behind the back blind passes? McDavid is notorious for blind passes and he was responsible for the Flyers first goal as the result of a blind pass.
