Edmonton Oilers call up Lavoie, Broberg, Erne; place Janmark, Holloway on LTIR

More Edmonton Oilers roster moves today after their first back-to-back wins of the season two nights ago.

Roster moves

In the Oilers’ game against the Seattle Kraken, Dylan Holloway was injured after sliding awkwardly into the boards. He will be out “longer term” per Head Coach Kris Knoblauch and has been placed on LTIR.

As well, Mattias Janmark hasn’t played since October 26 and was placed on LTIR. Janmark’s LTIR placement is retroactive to October 26, so he can return as early as the Oilers’ game on November 22 against the Carolina Hurricanes.

In a corresponding transaction, the Oilers have recalled three players from the AHL Bakersfield Condors, none of whom are Jack Campbell.

Raphael Lavoie, who was sent down by the Oilers yesterday, has been called up. Yesterday’s transaction appears to have been a paper transaction presumably to accrue cap space.

Adam Erne also joins Lavoie as forwards joining the big club. Erne was with the Oilers until November 1 when he was sent down to the Condors.

On the blueline, the Oilers have also recalled Philip Broberg who was with the Oilers until he was sent down to the Condors on November 3.

With these recalls, the Oilers roster now sits at 13 forwards, six defencemen, and two goalies for a total of 21 players.
