Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap 7: Nugent-Hopkins reaches 200 career goals as Edmonton gets revenge on Blues

After closing out their homestand with a win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Edmonton Oilers went to Missouri to faceoff against the Blues, a team that had shut them out just mere nights ago. Kicking off a quick three-game road trip, the Oilers wanted to continue the momentum they’ve established.

After starting Jack Campbell for three straight games, the Oilers turned to Stuart Skinner on the first half of a back-to-back. Skinner was up to the task, stopping 37 of 38 shots, while he got goal scoring support in front. Most specially, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored his 200th career goal to reach a big milestone with the Oilers.

The Oilers were the better team throughout the night, and they got the two points to push them above .500 in the standings.
