Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap SCF G4: Edmonton routs Florida to stay alive in Final

With their backs against the wall, the Edmonton Oilers came into Game 4 with literally nothing to lose. Win, and live to fight another game; lose, and it’s all over. The home crowd was aroar from start to finish and the Oilers put on a grand show in Rogers Place as they scored, scored, and scored some more.

A new NHL record was set as Connor McDavid picked up his 32nd assist of the postseason to set a new NHL record. Coming into the game, McDavid was two assists back from Wayne Gretzky‘s 31-assist record, set in 1988 Stanley Cup Playoffs. McDavid did as McDavid does and scored three assists to tie and pass Gretzky altogether.

Led by the captain, the Oilers put on an onslaught and handily took Game 4 by a final score of 8โ€“1. Once again, never underestimate the 2023โ€“24 Edmonton Oilers.
