The Edmonton Oilers decided to start Calvin Pickard as their goaltender as Stuart Skinner‘s performance these playoffs have been almost unfathomably bad. The Oilers got up 2–0 after 40 minutes of play, but the Vancouver Canucks pushed back in the third.
As Vancouver tied the game up with less than two minutes remaining, Evan Bouchard decided he did not want to play overtime and he responded with a goal with just 39 seconds left in the game to seal the victory.
The series is knotted at 2–2 as the teams head back to Vancouver for Game 5.
