Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap 64: Jets defeat Oilers despite Draisaitl hat-trick

The Edmonton Oilers faced the Winnipeg Jets once again, this time on the road, two days after defeating them by a 6-3 margin on home ice.

Games between these two teams are always entertaining, but with both fighting for wildcard spots in a tight Western Conference, the two points on the line were important for both clubs.

Unfortunately, the Oilers were unable to counter the Jets’ offense, losing by a 7-5 score. Leon Draisaitl‘s hat-trick performance wasn’t enough to overcome Jack Campbell‘s goaltending. Campbell finished with six goals against and a .842 save percentage.

The Oilers still hold down the first wildcard spot, and are just one point out of a top-three spot in the Pacific.

Charts from the game are below.
