Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap 24: Edmonton outplayed by Minnesota with no comeback to be seen

The Edmonton Oilers were looking to open the month of December up with a win but had a tough task of playing in the second half of a back-to-back. Their last few games were mightily crazy with comebacks galore. This game against the Minnesota Wild however, was pretty one-sided by the time it made it to the midway point.

The teams traded goals for the first half of the game to make it a 2–2 game, but then the Wild scored three more unanswered goals to make it a 5–2 affair. In the final seconds of the game Klim Kostin picked up his first goal of the season but it was too late for the Oilers.

One thing to note, all five goals from the Wild were in tight right in front of the net. Not the best defensive showing for the Oilers at all. They’ll look to get back on track on Saturday when they return back to Edmonton for a four-game homestand.
