The Edmonton Oilers were looking to end the month of November on a high note, going for their first three-game win streak since they won five in a row to close out October/start November. They managed to do so in a bit of a wild game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
While they never trailed, Edmonton saw the Blackhawks get back within one goal three separate times, first at 2–1, then 4–3, then finally in the last two minutes of the game turning it into a 5–4 score. However, in the final minute with the Blackhawks net empty, Stuart Skinner made a huge save to maintain the lead. Edmonton was on the other end of mounting two comeback wins their last two games, but this time they stopped a comeback without ever allowing the Blackhawks to tie it up at all.
