The Edmonton Oilers were reeling after a major loss to their forward personnel followed by a devastating blowout loss. However, they turned over a new leaf as they paid the Florida Panthers a visit and earned a victory off a great goaltending performance from Stuart Skinner as well as two goals from Tyson Barrie.
The Oilers were outplayed in many ways, but they were not out-goalied, and were not outscored. That’s all that matters right now as Edmonton is looking to gain some momentum back after a string of shaky games. Getting two points against a team like Florida is exactly the type of game the Oilers needed to get back on the right track.
