Jack Roslovic was the number one free agent still unsigned heading into opening night of the 2025–26 NHL season, but that is no longer the case. The Edmonton Oilers announced midway through their season opener against the Calgary Flames that they have signed Roslovic to a one-year contract worth $1.5M.

Roslovic has made a name for himself as a solid middle-sixer in the NHL. Over an impressive 562 games with the Winnipeg Jets, Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers, and Carolina Hurricanes, Roslovic has amassed 102 goals and 260 points.
Last season with the Hurricanes, Roslovic scored 22 goals and 39 points.
The right-shot centre will slot in likely as the Oilers’ third-line centre.
The Oilers made use of their cap space, and patience, very well. Roslovic will immediately help the Oilers on offence and provide a ton of depth for this season.
