The Edmonton Oilers returned to a deafening Rogers Place. After splitting the first two games with the Dallas Stars, the home team had a huge opportunity to feed off the crowd to take advantage of their home-ice advantage.
Things started off really well for the Oilers with two early goals in the first period, but the Stars answered back with three quick goals of their own in the second frame. The Oilers tied it up in time for the third period, but a hat trick goal by Jason Robertson late in the game stood as the game-winning goal and the Stars took Game 3.
The Oilers needed to be better in their own end but unfortunately, they were not good enough to keep Dallas’ efficient offence at bay.
