The Edmonton Oilers faced off against the Arizona Coyotes, in which the latter team is destined to move to Salt Lake City. One team was focused on nabbing two points in a tight race for the Pacific Division crown, the other was distracted by possibly some of the biggest off-ice issues any team could ever face.
Ultimately, the Oilers were defeated in overtime but managed to clinch home-ice for the first round of the playoffs.
