The Edmonton Oilers were fresh off of clinching a playoff spot after beating the Colorado Avalanche. They got right back into action against the Calgary Flames and had a chance to have two straight nights with major highs: clinching a playoff spot and clinching the 2023–24 Battle of Alberta. Suffice to say, the Oilers got the job done.
