The Edmonton Oilers were on the road to face a potential playoff opponent, the Vegas Golden Knights. Securing a win on the road in Vegas is always a difficult task, but the Oilers were up for it.
On a banner night that saw Evander Kane score his 300th career goal, the Oilers cruised to a dominant 7–4 victory over Vegas, inching closer to having home ice in round one of the postseason.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins gets closer to the 100-point plateau every game, and with a five-point effort in this one, he’s now up to 96 on the season. The Oilers are surging at just the right time, and look to be ready to roll for the playoffs.
