When the Boston Bruins roll into town, you know that NHL players hands are going to be full. That was true when the Edmonton Oilers hosted the league leading team on Monday night.
In what was a hard fought battle back between both teams, it was the Connor McDavid show yet again in Edmonton. McDavid netted his 49th and 50th goals of the season, in just 61 games played. The likely Hart Trophy winner, and overall league MVP, is easily going to hit 60 goals this season. The real question is can he hit 70? Time will tell, but the odds say he does it.
The game meanwhile didn’t go Edmonton’s way, with a late second period goal being the difference maker. Don’t think that the Oilers are going to sweat this one, as a 3-2 loss where they had tons of chances may inspire them more than anything.
