The Edmonton Oilers have fared very well against the Ottawa Senators the past few years. Looking to keep gaining ground in the Pacific Division and inch closer to first place, the Oilers faced the Senators on the road in a Saturday afternoon matinee.
This game was firmly in the Oilers’ control from the opening faceoff, though the Senators did make it interesting at a few points. They managed to battle back and tie the game at 1–1 and 3–3, but ultimately, the Oilers offense was too much for the Senators to handle and they earned a nice 6–3 win.
It was a very entertaining game, the highlight being a spirited bout between Evander Kane and Brady Tkachuk.
Jack Campbell played well once again, and the Oilers goaltending tandem continues to look like a strong one as the playoffs approach.
Charts from the game are below.
