After a tough loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night, the Edmonton Oilers aimed to get back into the win column with a contest against the Anaheim Ducks. With Stuart Skinner away from the team, Jack Campbell started in goal for the Oilers, while the Ducks turned to John Gibson.
The Oilers showed why they were 17 points up on the Ducks in the standings heading into this game. It was an onslaught of goals from the Oilers, including an absolutely gorgeous spin-o-rama backhand snipe from Connor McDavid, that chased Gibson from the net.
It may have come against the worst team in the Pacific, but this was a much needed victory for the Oilers.
Charts from the game are below.
