Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap 33: Edmonton comes up just short in Nashville after battling back three times

The Edmonton Oilers faced off against the Nashville Predators in a Western Conference showdown. Throughout the game, the two teams were quite equal in terms of shot generation and pressure, but every single time a lead was gained, it would be for the Predators.

Three different times, the Predators would get a one-goal lead just for the Oilers to tie it up. Jesse Puljujarvi scored once in the first and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had two power play goals—one in the second and one in the third. The game required over time to solve.

Unfortunately, just like the first three leads, the home team would score first in overtime too and that’d be the game as the Oilers leave Nashville with just one point. Charts from the game are below.
