Oilers Game Recaps

Oilers Visual Recap 11: Edmonton stunned by late-game Devils comeback

After finding themselves in a five-game win streak, the Edmonton Oilers had the New Jersey Devils visiting for a intra-conference tilt. The Oilers turned to starting Stuart Skinner after he’s shown he’s one of the best goalies in the Pacific right now, and many accounts he had a solid game.

It was just a third period collapse by the Oilers as they were up 3–1 in with 20 minutes to go. The Devils struck early to get back into the game, and with under four minutes remaining, two goals in seven seconds put the Devils up ahead and that’d be the game.

Ultimately, the Oilers lost in a heartbreaking way as they managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
