Today on Christmas Eve Eve, I would like to put aside the non-stop analysis and predicitons and just relax with a little humour. So I have re-written the lyrics to the “Twelve days of Christmas” song to fit an Edmonton Oilers theme. I swear I did try to make this rhyme with the original lyrics and fit with the orginal syllables, but quickly found out that I’m just not clever enough for that.
I would love to hear some good lyrics that fit the original song in the comments though so if your uncle is inputting too much rum and eggnog and outputting a little too much politics at the Christmas dinner table, you can suggest coming up with alternate lyrics instead.
